I was so happy when my beautiful cousin Fliss asked me to create the flowers for her wedding day. The wedding was to be on an island in the Bay of Islands where their family has a holiday home…. logistically it was going to be a little tricky with the only access being by boat but when have logistics stood in the way of gorgeous flowers?!
Everything was going to plan until one of the worse storms of the year developed and made things all a little trickier. But in true kiwi style we just got on with it… the ceremony was so so heartfelt and the howling wind and pelting rain just added to the atmosphere inside the marquee. Nisha Ravji did an amazing job of documenting all the love, laughter… and wild weather!
